About

Easter DiGangiI am originally from Ohio, but I did my undergraduate work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Major in Political Science with a Minor in Chemistry).  In December 2010, I received my MLS at Univ. of Wisconsin-Madison.  I have experience in the following settings: academic library, public library, government, special library, and library vendor.  Since 2008, I have been professionally involved in the library and information science field through association memberships, continuing education, committees, leadership, and volunteer opportunities.

In 2011, I was chosen to be a member of the ALA Class of Emerging Leaders.  My involvement with the Emerging Leaders program continued with the 2012 class as a Co-Member Guide for the ALA Chapter Relations Office.  I helped them continue with the development of Librarians Build Communities.  I am currently serving as the Chair of the Cataloging and Technical Services Forum of the Virginia Library Association.

In my spare time, I enjoy nature – biking and hiking; scrapbooking, and collecting bookmarks.
